Of course there is. iOS runs on two currently available Apple smartphone models: 3GS and 4. The iOS that runs on these phones is sufficiently different in feature sets from the iOS that runs on Tablets, media consumption devices, and Apple TVs:
-Larger resolution on tablets
-Communications handled separately - No phone app or visual voicemail on Tablet or iPod Touch
-No installable apps on Apple TV
AppleTV isn't being counted. If it had apps, it would be. For now, while it's running iOS "under the hood", Apple and analysts aren't actually mentioning that or using it in counts.
And the differences between iPad / iPod / iPhone are orders of magnitude less than the differences between the ultra-high and ultra-low ends of what is being counted as Android "phones".
This whole "smartphone OS" is something dreamed up in the last few weeks by Android apologists, after the numbers showed that Apple has the most popular OS and the most popular piece(s) of hardware in the mobile industry.

They are forming a new site with SBNation that will launch this fall. You can tell who the real talent was, as Josh got the break on this story and Engadget did not.

So am I the only one left with the original iPhone? Had it since Sep 2006. Was going to wait for the 5, but I'll just get a white 4 in a few weeks. I'm happy.
Nope, I'm also on the original and had it since the first day of release. However I'm on my 3rd original as one was stolen and the other the battery wouldn't last longer than 30 mins of use. Just glad I had family and friends willing to give me their old ones. At least I also still have the original cheap data plan too but that goes with the pain of a slow phone.
I had planned to buy the White iPhone 4 last year when released. Then I waited and waited like a lot of people with limited news. However no way, will I buy in now to the iPhone 4. After the pain of waiting this long, I'm gonna continue to struggle until iPhone 5 whenever that is. One thing I want is a new phone, my old one's battery is so crappy it lasts for a couple of hours and than it starts beeping to signal that the battery is dead. Very annoying.

I'm trying to old out with my cracked screen 3GS. Not sure I can wait until September...
Most 3rd party shops will replace the 3GS screen for $50.
Take it to the Apple Store and they'll replace it for $99.

I want to be able to move several events to another day or time, and since there's no "shift event times" feature, I want to at least be able to cut and paste them and remain in their original calendar! This happens every time there is a change in a day's schedule where several events have to happen sequentially.
For instance, let's say this is my typical monday schedule

Unless the form factor of any given product in the Macintosh line is radically different or re-designed, leaked pictures of such products are boring and uninteresting.
Plus the iPhones are still the "New, hot thing" in Apple-land, so even a millimeter's difference in the case is a big deal.
Then why all of the leaked photos of the new 2011 MacBook Pros and their boxes prior to release? The form factor of those computers literally didn't change at all.
I'm really surprised we haven't yet seen any leaked photos of the new iMacs if they're indeed coming out tomorrow. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I see where you are getting at but who would want to use an ipod for video conferencing when the business user which it is aimed at rather use a phone like the Razr V3x, a pda or that new 4.5in Sony tablet pc.

Unless I'm mistaken, 1st gen MBP had 7200 HD option but no FW800.
This time the FW800 gets put back but the 7200 option is taken away, with the moral being "buy a 17" if you need both of these features">
I'm the same as one of the previous posters, for my audio app (Ableton Live) there's no way I'd splash that sort of cash on a MBP with a 5400 drive.
Oh well, if my PB gives up the ghost, I'll have to tgo for a 17" (which I don't wwant to do) or buy a PC. Failing that, Im a-waiting for Santa Rosa.

And I really have to believe that the old metal look will be gone in the end, replaced by the new iTunes look.
Current theme count for the record:
* White aqua (with three different toolbar styles: old, unified/no-line, and little-icons-on-gray-pills like Mail)
* Textured metal
* Smooth metal (iTunes)
* Dashboard (non-aqua sliders)
* Black bezel (like the floating controls in iPhoto)
* Pro aqua (gray with thinner title bars--Final Cut etc.)
* EDIT: new "quick look (http://guides.macrumors.com/Image:leopardquicklook.png)" theme?
All of those are used by multiple apps. There are also special variations like GarageBand, but those are fun and not objectionable to me.

I hope I'm not the only one disappointed that you see an i7 in 3 out of the 4 MBPs, but i7 is only available for an extra $180 in the iMac.
The i5 2400 costs $150 @ MicroCenter, and that's the processor they use in the $2000 iMac!!! This is why people say Macs are overpriced (and they most certainly are). That having been said, I'll be buying an MBA or MBP 13 soon enough.
